IRELAND IRISH STYLE CABBAGE AM) ROT TOES (Colcanmm) 6 boi led potatoes 2 lb. butter, melted 14 t. salt 1 . pepper l onion, chopped fine 4 small head cabbage, boiled Peel and mash the potatoes with half of the butter and the salt, pepper, and onion. Mix well together. Chop the cabbage coarsely. Add to the previous mixture and mix lightly, but thoroughly Heat in a buttered pan but do not allow the mixture to brown. Serve very hot. Heap in a mound. Make a well in the center and pour the remaining melted butter in it. 1 IRISH POT TO SOL P water cups medium potatoes, peeled and sliced onions, sliced ' 1 carrot, sliced 4 1. thyme 1 'd pepper bay leaf Boil the water in a saucepan Add the potatoes, onions, carrot, thyme, bay leaf and clove. Cook over low heat for 45 minutes. Force the mixture through a sieve. Add the milk, cream, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Correct seasoning. Add sugar gradually, beating until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and beat well. Add the chocolate, potatoes, cinnamon and nutmeg Prehat oven to 350 degrees. Sift the flour and baking soda together and add to the chocolate mixture alternately with the sour milk. Beat well Add the nuts, mixing lightly. Pour into a deep 9 inch buttered pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 baking or spring-forminutes or until a cake tester comes out clean Cool in the pan, then turn out 1 sferred RAISING EARTHWORMS . Workshop planned In answer to popular demand, the Southwest Branch Library in Roy is again sponsoring a free Small Business Administration workshop which will be held on three consecutive Wednesday evenings March 15, 22 and 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. Those who registered for the last workshop and could not be accommodated have been notified by mail and are urged to send in their registration slips without delay.
