According to Verna Miller, city councilman in charge of the water division of the city, the work will be complete in two more weeks. An extensive remodeling project, it has entailed the placing of new cement abutments, new saddles, and bases. Much of the pipe has undergone leveling also. According to a recent survey prior to the repair work, the pipe and bases were found inadequate for the water weight being carried into the city. Mr. Miller also announces a new low water rate for Hyrum residents. The following schedule was ap proved at the recent council meet' ing. The minimum charge for water per home is $2.00 and 10,000 gallons can be used.
