Hyrum Stake Is Over Its Quota In Era Subs On Using The Elite Hall 'We have recently heard some agitation for use of the Elite Hall as a recreational center in Hyrum. It is proposed that basketball courts be laid; out on the floor. Also' volley ball, tennis, and other courts. The reason this has had more discussion than usual, of late, is the fact that the Hoard of Education raised the fee for renting the High School and Lincoln School and Senior Scout teams have been taxed gyms. much more than in previous years, and the desire is to ently, and it is a money-makeUsing it as a basketball court during the week would pot interfere with this Saturday night affair. It would not hurt the floor, either. Rather, the dancing would he more likely to hurt the basketball floor. . Hyrum has some very good basketball talent. They are being handicapped by having no place they can afford to hiret to practice. There is no reason why Hyrum or other small South Cache towns cant have a championteam. ' They often come from smaller towns ship than these. There is no reason either, why the city-ownElite Hall should not be used for the benefit of Hyrums young people.
