It was one of the best ever held. The meeting was called to order by the president. The girls sang Utah Trail, led by the song leader. The girls, sewed on their patches after which refreshments were served. The meeting was then dismissed and the girls went out side and learned and played two new games, led by Kay Dawne Bailey. On Saturday the Pleasure Horses held the spot light. Some of the finest horses in the state were shown. Entries came ' in from Centerville, Utah on the south to Downey, Idaho on the north. About 150 head were exhibited and judged. Forty three teams were entered In the Horse Pulling contest. In the light weight class the Lewis Brothers team from Salt Lake pulled the 3000 pound weight the required 27 V2 feet. This is a new state record. In the Medium class the Lewis Brothers Claude Draayer and Morgan son tied for first place. The heavy class was won by Kelley Draayer. It was a fine show all three days. The Committee worked hard to make it a success. The weather man gave us some weather and everyone hadgooda good time. Chairman Anderson wants to thank all committeemen for their fine work. The entire committee appreciated the fine support and cooperation they received from the citizens of the valley. We hope all enjoyed the show. Well be back next year with a bigger and better exhibit. A national goal of 21 million Buddy Poppies has been set for the 1947 sale. Proceeds are used for the organizations welfare and relief activities, including an allotment to the V. F. W.
