Show UTAH LABOR NEWS, SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, NOVEMBER Results of Tuesdays Municipal Elections (Continued from page 1) single votes cast in the commission race. Something like 3000 voters cast a ballot for only one commissioner. Carries 37 Districts Mr. Johnson carried 37 of the citys 140 voting districts. Fifteen of these districts were in the First ward, 12 in Second, seven in Third, one in Fourth, and two in Fifth. He carried the Second ward for second place. Although . Mr. Johnson was fourth in the finals, his gain over the primary election vote was greater than any of the other candidates in the race. His primary vote was 5078, and Tuesday he received 13,357, thus showing a gain of 8279, which on a primary vote percentage basis is the largest gain. A smaller gain was recorded for Mr. Moffat, who placed third in the contest. He nosed out Johnson for the third place by the small margin of 239 votes. Helps Incumbent George Wilsons activities in behalf of the candidacy of Mr. Moffat was a big asset to the incumbent Commissioner P. H. Goggin A. F. L. lawyers endorsement of Moffat, no doubt, added some votes into Goggin column. It is estimated that Wilson caused some 3000 votes to go to Mr. Goggin. They were sort of sympathy votes by those who resented the rotten treatment Wilson gave his former benefactor in this campaign. It is remembered that Commissioner Goggin gave Wilson one of the best jobs in his department. Shortly before the city primary campaign Wilson got the idea that Goggin could not be reelected, so resigned and became active in behalf of Mr. Moffat, and campaigned against his former friend. This did not set well with the voters and, consequently, as a protest against Wilsons political activities they voted for Commissioner Goggin.
