lake city soon after the close of school miss was called caled to go upon a mission to denmark she was assigned to labor in ilic city of aalborg inthe in the conference of that name where her parents were living and where she was born the young lady besides doing regular missionary work in the city and out in the country acted as conference secretary which position she sha filled with honor just about the time her missionary term was up mr arrived in copenhagen as a missionary and was assigned to labor in the aalborg conference the gentleman being an expert bookkeeper and office man was kept in the city of and succeeded miss as conference secretary whether or not they made up ill at that time is of very little importance poi lance but the facts are arc that miss oleson camp came home and has been looking forward to the event which happened yesterday ever since mr arrived home just before christmas ind nd the dispatch with which he and his bride have carried out their intentions Is something commendable wen dable they will make their home hoine in lehl lehi where mr is employed as a civil engineer and the news new offers congratulations and all good goo wishes for a happy and blessed married life 0 last wednesday evening at the home of mr fr and mrs J A hamson monday pres moroni of the state board of horticulture was la in town and called at this office in conversing about his recent trip to denver and the grand valley mr stated that the apple display at al denver was something enormous as well as beautiful over the exhibit of the grand valley hung bung a huge banner which told of the resources of the valley and gave some statistics rila relative tive to the apple crop of last season there were 2988 cars ot of a apples aples alone shipped out of the gr grand a n d valley which netted the growers something like delta county just below the grand valley shipped out over 2200 cars which returned profits to the growers in proportion to the grand valley figures the amazing feature of these facts is that if 1 the growers had not fought the frost last spring the crop would have beena total failure as it was the previous two or three years mr stated that early estimates of the growers were to the I 1 effect that at an expenditure of for equipment fuel and labor in orchard heating the gross returns to I 1 the state of colorado would be according to the above figures given from the grand valley and delta county the eaily estimates of the growers hueie meie more than realized sir mr is just fairly sizzling with orchard beatin heating g ile he Is thoroughly 1 convinced of the necessity of applying that method of protection against the frosts which come late in the spring and is working day and night to convert others when lie he first planted his apple orchard mr air was tas referred to as being crazy but be kept on bendin tending his trees un til the first crop was harvested then liis his job friends were sorry they had not followed his good example so he proposes to keep at orchard heating r his crop was saved last year hy a rude system of heating and with the tha late into improved smudge pots mr is willing to meet jack frost in any kindol a contest atwould it would be well for all ail the jurists to take their cue from mr fr their daughter jentile jennie pauline beca became e ther wife of mr air david stabler St auler r il lard
