Show Sun Advocate, Price, Utah11A Thursday, May 26, 1994 Obituaries Clarence Carrillo PROVO Clarence Conger" Gaytan Carrillo, age 71 of Provo, passed away peacefully on May 23, 1994 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He returned back to be with his mother, father and 16 brothers and Bisters who preceded him in death. He was bom Aug. 7, 1922 in Allison, N.M., the son of Manuel Roma and Francisca Gaytan Carrillo. He was raised in Gallup, N.M., and moved to East Carbon in April 1950, where he worked 12 years as a coal miner in the Kaiser mines. He then moved to Provo in 1963, where he worked for Geneva Steel until his retirement in 1982. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the South Pacific in the Guadalcanal battle during World War II. He was a member of the VFW 4 ofSpring-vill- e and of the Steel Workers Union Local 2201. He was an active member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors, was always very outgoing, loved life and appreciated all that he had. He will be missed very much by his family and friends. He is survived by his children, including three daughters, Lydia Epley of Provo; Pat Davis of West Jordan; Yvonne (David) Swapp of Provo; one son, Alex Carrillo of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren, Michael, Skylar, Brandi, Nicole, Andrea, Amanda, Cassidy and Cydney; one brother, T.G. scheduled A of activities Mountain View Cemetery in Helper Monday morning in observance of Memorial Day. At approximately 9 a.m. , the Helper American Legion post will conduct a memorial service at the Legion plot, complete with a firing squad shooting a volley of shots. Prior to the services in Helper, the firing squad will visit the cemetery at Castle Gate and both cemeteries in Spring Glen. Small American flags waving atop white crosses bearing the veterans name will be in place at the American Legion plot. Father Andrew, pastor of St. Anthonys Catholic Church, will celebrate a Mass at the cemetery at 10 a.m. Immediately following the Mass, members of Helpers n lodges will gather at the lodge burial plot for a short memorial service under the direction of president Frank Dalpiaz. homemaker and a member of the Catholic Ladies Relief Society, St. Rose Alter Society, Roseville 1413 Sons of Italy in Lodge America, Branch 73 Italian Catholic Federation and Roseville Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by her son, Louis J. (Elva) Bosco of Roseville; her grandchildren, Linda (Jim) Jensen of Salt Lake City; Loretta (Kirk) Doyle of Roseville; George (Kelley) Harmond Jr. of Price; Cindy (Steve) Holland of Roseville; John Bosco of Salt Lake City; Robbie (Karen) Bosco of Provo; her brothers, Angelo (Dora) Scan-de- ll a of Roseville; Ben (Margo) Scandella of Sacramento, Calif.; Bert Scandella of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and Bobby Scandella of Auburn, Calif.; her sister, Mary Bertagnolli of Kemmerer, Wyo.; her George Harmond of Price; and 14 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Louis J. Bosco Sr. in 1968; her daughter, Delores Harmond in 1989; and her Trevor Bosco in 1990. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 18, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Roseville.
