Show NOVEMBER 10, 1987 L, Accepts call Tabernacle rites set Elder Trent A. Cox , son of Boyd R. and Connie B. Cox, has accepted a mission call to serve in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. Prior to his Nov. 18 departure for the MTC, Elder Cox will speak at the Kaysville 4th Ward Chapel, 875 E. 200 N., Nov. 15 at 10:50 a.m. Friends and relatives are welcome Ray E. Wayman and Audrene H. Yates have chosen Thursday, Nov. 12 as their wedding date. Th. ceremony will be performed at Kaysville Tabernacle. All friends and relatives are invited to an open house 9 p.m., no gifts please, at Center Street and 2nd West. She is from Corinne but has been a resident of Layton for 39 years. Her children are Dr. Chip Yates, to visit at the home after the 7-- The family of Howard and Rita Thurgood will honor the couple with an open house celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The event will be from p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Clearfield North Stake Center, 151 N. 1000 W., Clearfield. The couple said friendship is the best of all gifts and they request no other. i They were married Nov 17, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. .They have lived in Syracuse and Clearfield for the past 50 years. i He has worked at Hill Air Force Base and has driven a school bus for 30 years. He owned and operated Thurgoods Market in Syra-- ; cuse for many years. Active in the LDS Church, he has served a mission in California, served as a stake missionary president in Clearfield and held many other stake and ward positions. ; She has worked in all church au-2-- meeting. Elder Cox is a graduate of Davis High School, where he participated on the varsity soccer team for four years. He is an Eagle Scout and a Kaysville Seminary graduate. He has attended Weber State College and is currently employed by Clover Club Foods at the Freeport Center. Kevin Yates, Farmington; Bruce' Yates, Bountiful; Tanya Garn, Layton; she has 17 grandchildren. He is from Holladay but has lived in Kaysville for 23 years. His children are Kenneth Wayman, Rodney Wayman, Logan; Earlene Cozzens, Helen Wayman, Kaysville. He has four grandchildren. They will be residing in Layton. The couple was honored at a reception that evening hosted by the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Penna of Layton. The newlyweds and grooms parents traveled to New York City where a second reception was given in their honor by the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Finnegan, on Oct. 24. The bride is from Brooklyn, New York where she attended Fordham University before moving to Utah. She is a supervisor at Price Savers. The groom attended Weber State College in Ogden and is employed at Corp. They will reside in MR. AND MRS. ROBERT PENNA K-M- the Murray area.
