Elder Thomas Freeman, son of John and Margo Freeman of Fruit Heights, has been called to serve in the Houston, Texas mission. He enters the MTC July 15. Brett A. Barber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce C. Barber, 1564 W. 2700 S., Syracuse, has been called to serve in the Washington, Spokane Mission. He will be giving his farewell address July 19 at the Syracuse 2nd Ward, Bluff Road Chapel, 2500 S. Bluff Road, Syracuse. The meeting will start at 10:40 a.m. Friends and relatives are invited to the home after the meeting. Brett just completed his freshman year at Weber State College. Keith and Fern E. Bagley have been called to serve as missionaries in the Ohio Akron Mission for the LDS Church. Prior to their departure Aug. 5, to the MTC, they will speak at the 37th Ward Sacrament meeting July )2 at 11 a.m. in the West Gentile Chapel, 2120 W. Gentile, Layton. Angel St. New leaders were named during reorganization of the Layton LDS Stake recently, with the creation of two new ward organizations. New leaders named in Layton Stake LAYTON The Layton Utah LDS Stake underwent major reorganization on Sunday, June 28. The changes included creation of two new wards and the appointment of five new bishops. The 42nd and 43rd Wards were created in the north and east portions of Layton Stake. The boundaries of the other nine wards in the stake were changed to give balance to the wards. The change of boundaries resulted in changes in all ward bishoprics and new appointments to the stake high council. The members of the ward bishoprics are as follows: Sixth Ward, Ralph W. Firth, bishop (already serving in the capacity); Phillip W. Johnson, first counselor, new; David M. Stevens, 2nd counselor, new; Wayne Farr, ward clerk.
