Lee Liston, 76, of 711 Crest-woo- d Road, Kaysville, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1987 at his home of complications associated with Alzheimers Disease. He was born Nov. 7, 1910 in Bishop, Calif., a son of Edward R. and Concetta Rossi Liston. He married Vera Margaret Cole Sept. 14, 1934 in Sturgis, S.D. He was reared in Nevada. He had lived in South Dakota and in Cedar City, Utah. He had resided in Kaysville for the past 40 years. He was educated in Nevada public schools. e graduated from Black Hills College in Spearfish, S.D., and Northern State Coliege in Aberdeen, S.D. He lettered in football, basketball and track. He honors received and set a season scoring record in football. His enjoyment of sports led him into the education and coaching fields. He coached eight years at Lincoln County High School in Panaca, Nev.; four years at Southern Utah State College in Cedar City; and 13 years at Davis High School. He was vice principal at Davis High School for 17 years. He received Hall of Fame recognition from Black Hills College and Southern Utah State College. The Old Time Athletes Association honored him as a distinguished Utah High School Coach. of the He was Kaysville Theatre for 17 years. He also had a thriving business growing peony blooms and roots for wholesale distribution. He was an active real estate investor. He owned and managed income properties and developed several residential subdivisions in Kaysville and Layton. He was past president of the Kaysville Rotary Club and the Utah Coaches Association, was director of the Old Time Athletes. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 719 and Eagles Aerie er She is also survived by a number er No. 2472 in Ogden. Surviving are his widow of Kaysville, two sons and one . daughter, Jerry L. Liston, Great Falls, Va.; Paul F. Liston and Nita L. Thomassen, both of Kaysville; 17 grandchildren and one Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters. Willey Lonola Ann Shrives Willey, 84, of 1472 E. 1000 N., Layton, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1987 at a local nursing home of causes incident to age. She was born Oct. 4, 1902, in Franklin, Ida., a daughter of Harry E. and Annie Challis Shrives. She married Samuel E. Tangren Sept. 12, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Dec. 4, 1923. She married Gray W. Wiley July 4, 1924. He died Dec. 28, 1983. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She was an avid tem- years. Surviving are his parents of Kaysville. Services were held Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Kaysville 3rd Ward Chapel with Bishop Bengt Jonnson conducting. Interment was in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. The presenter, Mary Butler, has been a teacher in the Davis School District for 16 years. Much of that time was spent as a secondary resource teacher where she gained extensive experience in working with students who had not been successful academically.' Jn this capacity she learned some strategies for helping students learn to achieve which she will share with parents. Mrs. Butler is currently working as the educational diagnostician at the Monte Vista Diagnostic Center. She also coordinates the district's Precision Teaching program. He was active in the Scouting program and served as an executive in the Lake Bonneville Council. For several years he had worked on the Old Folks Committee and was a Clearfield councilman. He had been a member of the Davis County SherifT s Posse for many years and was a successful farmer-cattleman and businessman. Surviving are his widow of Layton, four daughters and one son, Mrs. Stanley D. (Norine) Moss, Mrs. Paul E. (Ruth) Barker, both of Kaysville; Mrs. Stevan N. She was born Oct. 28, 1885 in Kaysville, a daughter of Samuel Spencer and Mary Barnes Flint. She married George Scoffield March 16, 1904 in Kaysville. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Feb. 2, 1948. She attended schools in Kays- n. James A. (Jim) Mainland, 35, of 260 E. 500 N ., Kay sville , died Monday, Jan. 5, 1987 in the Humana Hospital Davis North of cancer. He was born April 2, 1951 in Kansas City, Mo., a son of John Liston. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as Sunday School teacher and as Relief Society visiting teacher for 60 years. He was educated in Davis County and had lived in Clearfield for 45 years and Layton for 35 years. He served an LDS Mission in the Eastern States. He was MIA and Amanda Lynn Eschler, infant daughter of J. Craig and Rebecca Peebles Eschler, died Dec. 30, 1986 of SIDS. She was born Oct. 13, 1986 in Salt Lake City. She is survived by her parents, 3 brothers Jonathan Craig, Christopher Jay and Timothy Lee. Also surviving are grandparents Melvin J.
