May 10th, to take, a position with the Canadian government to fly planes from the air factory to the airport ip England, where he arrived May 22nd. He is now- stationed in Berkshire. He expects to he gone a year or longer. He reports that some food items are restricted but they are able to have goo(J substantial meals. lie received his prelimin ary training at the University of Omaha and acquired his commercial license from Burnham-Mill- s flying school at the Muncipal airport. Before going to Canada, lie had been employed by United Air lines for one year. It is thought that he might have gone over on a homer, nevertheless, he sprung a surprise on his parent1, because they did not know that he was on the way, hey got a cabblegram announcing that he was there. Mrs. June Cardell fjmith entertained the Harmony club of Centerville at her home in Salt Lake City, Friday.
