Everyone realizes that our chapel is in need of redecorating. Many have also noticed that the ceiling is cracking and some of the plaster is falling. On careful examination by the church architect a. id also by a private architect, it is found that the plaster is separating from the lath. It is not dangerous at p:es-enbut it may become so. Many suggestions hae been made by ward members regaiding our lighting units. It seems that the light directly above the speaker is hard on their eyes. All there had an enjoyable time. A special program, under the direction of Thomas Q. Williams, was given and refreshments were served. Evans received a war department announcement early in March that their son, Second Lieutenant James C. Evans, 22, failed to return from a bombing mission over Germany Hen- The Sunday evening meeting on March 5th, conducted by Counselor Eva B. Cardall, was a splendid program presented by the Relief Society. There was music by the Singing Mothers, and Mr. and Mrs. William C. Singley, returned missionaries from the Church Farm in New York, were the principal speakers. Bob Harrison underwent an emergency abdominal operation in the Dee Hospital in Ogden on March 14. He is now convalescing at home. One Centerville resident who has contributed in a quiet but effective way to the war effort is Mrs. Lottie Harris. Mrs. Harris first culties.
