The Universe, Ashcroft Observatory, 8 p.m. NO CLASSES: HARVEST HOLIDAY Coming up JV basketball planned This year the SUSC basketball program will feature a junior varsity squad with 14 games scheduled beginning in December and ending in March. A meeting will be held Oct. 25 to inform interested students about the tryouts for the team. For further information, contact Coach Paul Noble a1 the basketball office. Swapp to speak the focal point of an evening school class scheduled to start Wild horse specialist John Swapp will discuss the Bureau of Land Managements wild horse adoption program Oct. 16, 5 p.m., in room 121 of the Science Building. The public is invited to attend the free lecture. Swapp is the first speaker in a series of Ag programs. Wednesday. Straight talk about the health issues and problems involved with drug use is class in knitting A machine instruction starts Thursday. SUSC is sponsoring the class which will be held at Leisure Time, a Cedar City yarn and knitting machine shop located at 197 West 650 South. Workshop participants have their choice of two meetings times, Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. or from 7 to 9 p.m. The registration fee is $25 and can be paid at the first session or at SUSC in Old Administration 203. non-cred- Drugs and the Family is open to everyone interested in drug usage, especially parents and their children. It will be held Wednesday evenings through Nov. 13, from 7 to 10 p.m. in Physical Education 121.
