As the new chairman of the SUSC department of business, Roger Hillyard just wants to keep things on an even keel; however, Hillyard is advocating a few changes to the department. He has already chosen section heads for business education, accounting, and business administration. The new heads will oversee the disciplines and report back to Hillyard. Hillyard hopes that the change will make the programs more accessible to students and easier for the disciplines. Hillyards administrative duties include overseeing work toward the new masters of accountancy program and integrating new computer terminals into the business department. Instructors Gary Giles and Dale Hatch will have the accounting program ready to present to Dean Harold Hiskey of the School of Business, Technology, and Communications. The accounting program will then be ready to advertise in Janurary. Hillyard recently approved the purchase of new computers to bring the total to 40 terminals for classroom use.
