With runners first and second Jennifer Smith hit a double and cut St. Marys lead to In the afternoons second contest the women softballers took only seven innings to do away with Sr. Marys tallying a 3 victory. In the top of the sixth inning Jana Crawford broke a 3 tie with a two-ru- n home run to centerfield giving the enough runs to win. However, it wasnt enough for SUSC catcher Chris Razmic as she hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh to put the icing on the cake. This was a total team effort, said Peterson. I was very pleased with our performance as a team. The positive point of this team is that we never gave up all year, said Peterson. That is our whole philosophy as a team.
