SOUNDS EASY NEl J YEAR SPECIAL Greenhalgh A change in this years school calendar confused many unsuspecting students after the Christmas holiday, said Mary Leone Foley, secretary to Academic Vice President Terry Alger. The 1981-8- 2 catalog stated that winter quarter classes were to begin on Jan. 2. Considering the fact that that day was a holiday, Foley said, it had to be changed. It was moved back two days to allow time for registration. According to Foley, several students and faculty members began phoning the office for clarification as to what was happening. We ran a schedule in the Blueline listing the changes, but apparently people didnt bother to hang on to it, Foley said. Winter and spring quarter schedules will have other changes students should be aware of, Foley said. Presidents Day holiday will be Friday, Feb. 17 instead of Feb. 20 for SUSC students this year. The Abe Lincoln debate tournament will be held on campus the day students are out of classes. The tournament had to take place somewhere, so we figured the students could handle a change, Foley said. The final examination schedule for winter quarter has been moved back one day from what was originally printed in the catalog. Spring quarter also has a long list of changed dates. In fact, the only dates that will remain the same during Spring quarter are Easter vacation and Memorial day holiday. Foley advises students to keep a copy of the schedule changes in order to avoid futher confusion and hassle. 75 OFF REGULAR MEMBERSHIP PRICE ONLY $500 PLUS ONE FREE MOVIE RENTAL FOR FIRST SO STUDENTS WITH COUPON oa SOUNDS EASY NEW YEAR SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP ONLY $5 PLUS ONE FREE MOVE RENTAL EXPHES JAR 31, 1964 570 South Main SOUNDS EASY (In Start 0 Cedar City, Utah the Albertsons Shopping Center) 586-712- tIie new yEAR RiqhT wiTh a visiT to FernwoocI's Blaines moving Sale Off 20 BveRythinq in Stock COUPON j ! j 586-888- 0 OFF EITHER 25 HOT BUTTER RUM SUNDAE HOT FUDGE SUNDAE WITH STUDENT I.D. eiaines 491 So. main Ce&aa City next to Oamy fReeze ofF Expires January FtRNwood's 1 J 9, 1984 97 NortIi MaIn, CecJar CiTy 586-741- 5 |
