Fuhr, Dean of Students, recently. According to Dean Fuhr, approximately 100 jobs were open to students at Registration amounting to a total income of more than $1,000 a week. More than half of these positions have now been A me filled. Jobs include positions for inexperienced service station attendants at a minimum wage of $1.25 an hour to jobs which pay a student's room fee, $100 a month, and requires only three hours of work dally. Employment for girls range from waitress to restaurant hostess. A list of these on- - and off- -, is posted in the Dean of Students office, Converse Hall. Convocation Attention Students Tune in on Your Campus Forum O 2000 Inquiries At Fair Exhibit Westminster College is improving its physical facilities at a high rate of speed but also that intangible but highly profitable area of public relations. Under the supervision of Victor A. Davis, Director of Public Relations for the College, Westminster took part in the Utah State Fair for the first time in its history, this fall. The Westminster exhibit was prepared in an effort to create, maintain and increase the public confidence, respect and esteem for Westminster College in this area, said Mr. Davis. The exhibit was opened from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day and manned by students, faculty and members of the Westminster Mothers Club and Womens Board. And even No, Junior Class Picnic Oct. 10 The Junior Class is sponsoring a picnic for the college community on October 10, at 2:30 at Storm Mountain. Refreshments will be served at a nominal cost. All Junior Class members and friends are especially urged to attend. This will be a good opportunity to express to the officers your ideas and opinions concerning the upcoming events and activities, and will insure more representation of Ideas than just those of the four officers. Anyone desiring transportation to the picnic should contact one of the officers or sign up on one of the lists in the dorms. Payne Gym. The nationally prominent Wayfarers starred in the show which included Stan Wilson and his accompianist Lenny Castro, and the talents of Richard and Mim. This was the first professional set at Westminster and it was probably the last, due to the sparse crowd of under one hundred. It was a real humiliation for the big stars who had not played before such a small crowd cm their Western tour. However, the poor turnout had no affect on the great sounds of the folk singers. All of the performers were exceptional in every number. The few people who attended made up for the empty space with their enthusiastic re- sponse. The Hootenanny was only a failure at the gate. This was attributable to many factors. The petitions must have at least 20 signatures and are to be turned in to Brenda Wood, Hogle Hall. Girls trying out may not be on probation and will be required to have a 2.0 grade average.
