Show Lose To Parsons Close Out Homestand With Three Wins By I)iek Honirighou.se Westminsters offense and defense put on a grand display last Friday night, as they score over rolled to a Northwest Nazarene College from Nampa, Idaho. ' The big man in the score-boo- k was Jerry Locke from Northwest Nazarene with 30 counters, followed by Hag-wooadding 24 points. The next night found top rebounding senior Eric Joffs playing his last game' for Coach Richardson and Westminster College. The tall, rangy center played the same type of a tough ball game he had been playing all season. Teaming up with his fellow hoopster, Joffs made sure his last game was a victory by 99-8- 4 rt 53-2- Avin-nin- d, thumping Northwest Westminster just couldnt get rolling offensively in the first half and found themselves on the short end of a halftime score. But the Parsons seemed to catch fire in the second period as they started to really pour it on, scoring a big 56 points. The team from Ogden, coached by John F. White, represents the state of Utah in the Western Regional tournament playoffs for the Deaf, Par- as far as tournament play is concerned. The Parsonettes, working on their home court, were challenged by more than a powerful opponent. The University team writh its score of substitutes played under eight minute quarters, Avhich is normal in its league. The Parsonettes lineup included only eight who normally play six minute League quarters.
