The game was played Saturday night, after a full day of rain had saturated the field. The game was mostly a show of defense with neither team being able to show much offensive power. Oregon Techs first score came in the late part of the first quarter, after Oregon Tech had been held and were forced to punt. The ball was touched by a Westminster player and recovered on the Parsons 30 yard line by an opposing player. Two plays later Oregon pushed across the "goal and the score stood at halftime 6 to 0 for Oregon Tech. To open the second half, the Parsons kicked off to the Owls, and then held them, forcing them to punt. Westminster took the ball on their own line and started their first sustained offensive show of the night, which ended with Ron Hauser carrying the ball across from the line. Hauser completed, a pass to Terry Hunter in the end zone for the conversion. But the conversion was nullified because of an 30-yar- d 12-yar- d off-sid- e penalty. The teams battled defen- sively in the middle of the field until the fourth quarter when the Owls, after a series of end runs and a number of penalties, put the ball on the line. On the next play they scored their second TD with 50 seconds remaining. Offensively, Jerry Adams, Paul Bates, Ron Nay, and Ron Hauser looked good. Defensively, Ed Owens, Jerry Floyd, Jack Buckley, Wes Hill, and Ray Varoz were outstanding. the TD. Westminster scored again in the third quarter with Hau- ser and Hunter again getting into the scoring act. On fourth line Ron down on their itauser threw to Hunter who was standing in the end zone for the score. The extra point attempt failed. From this point Coach Lee cleared his bench, giving everyone a chance to play. Ron Nay, Parson halfback, along with Wes Hill, Terry Hunter, and Ron Hauser played outstanding offensive and defensive ball, racking up 90 yards and intercepting one Montana pass. f save MoriiTl LOW COLLEGE yr rag $61 yn rag $111 I TIME II yr rag $71 AO WITH THESE I 1 n PLAYBOY PLAYBOY t 3TiME Uyn) r US News and Uc I n I $5.00 I 9.001 RATES! 1 12 3.87 For Freshmen, Flunkies, and Freeloaders PARSON PIGNIC ......
