The factulty has been seeking ways to further stress its concern with superior achievements in the academic area. The purchase of Alpha Chi pins was recommended by a special committee which has studied ways in which this objective might be served. The committee included Miss Rosa Bird Marimon, Prof. Harold Carter, and Prof. Kenneth Kuchler. I believe the faculty feels that the establishment of an Alpha Chi Chapter on the campus is a significant step in identifying Westminster College with high academic ideals. I am delighted that the faculty sees fit to make this gesture as an additional indication of its concern with superior scholarship, said Dean Ballenger.
