EDITORIALS: o.t j- Westminster , , w - Now that the dust has settled and the campaigners are sitting back and discussing how close the recent elections were, we think its time to congratulate the student body, the campaigners and campaign managers and all the people who put in so much time and effort on the elections. We were certainty glad to see a little spirit and enthusiasm go into the campaigns. In the past, Westminster has' tended to sit back and watch others do all the work. Is it really coming about that people are actually beginning to show ah interest in the rest of the student body? That might be too much to hope for but at least its a step in the right direction. The percent of the student body voting was gratifying also. Although, it wasnt 100 percent there was an excellent showing. Maybe next year we will have a full percentage at the polls. Now if we can only have the same kind of enthusiasm in the support of our elected officers, this school can do nothing but improve. The officers chosen are very capable Tlie Westminster College Concert Ololt, will partindate in but without your help their power is limited. Lets all get Hansen Memorial Stadium, May 28th. The school year is almost complete and its with a touch of sadness as we look back over the past. The athletic teams did not. fare too well but they were all in there lets trying. The football team had some bad breaks but basketface it, they ran into some tough competition. The ball crew was probably one of the finest ever seen at Westminster. We cant quite figure that one. We can say though, we wuz robbed a couple of times. Track and field started out with a bang but they kind of fizzled out near the end. We ended up the baseball season with a couple of upsets over Ricks College which brings to mind the two upsets at the end of the basketball season. The ski club was successful in presenting one of the finer outings of the year. The only winning crew we had was the tennis team and we feel they deserve a pat on the back. Of course we cant forget the Girls Basketball club for bringing home a trophy.
