Show Philharmonic Opens Music Season Dr. Walter Teutsch, professor of music and head of the division of 'fine arts at Westminster presented concert of the Philharmonic Choir, October 1, in the interest of the Westminster Progress Fund. Dr. Teutsch, the Choir Director, .prepared a program consisting of two Handel works never performed in Salt Lake previously, and the Bach D minor piano; concerto with Vocal ' soloists, Elizaorchestra. beth Hayes Simpson and William Bushnell, are on thd College faculty. Mrs. Simpson who appeared as, a soloist with the Salt Lake Oratorio Society in Handels The Creation, also appeared with the Philharmonic Society in Verdis Requiem. Mr. Bushnell, new at Westminster music department, has studied in California and Colorado, and at Columbia University. The event was most successful and the College was proud of the participating faculty. New Faces on The Campus Number 3. u Joining the faculty at Westminster College is Sanford A. Shaw of Salt Lake City. The college feels most fortunate in obtaining Mr. Shaw as an instructor in Real Estate Fundamentals, for he has been in the real estate business in Salt Lake for some twenty years. Mr. Shaw, a graduate of Westminster College and now serving as a trustee, received his A. B. degree at Yale University and his LL. B. degree at the University of Utah. He is also a graduate of the Command Staff School at Ft. Leavenworth Kansas. Mr. Shaw is president of Shaw Incorporated, a of the Salt Lake Real Estate Board, the Utah State Realty Association, and of the Utah Sales Executives. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The meeting took place between other events of the big Homecoming celebration on the Urban Gebo, class of campus. 53 was elected new president of the association. It was decided that efforts would be made to make the Alumni Asso In the past, only one meeting year has been held, but, according to word received, they now plan to meet more frequently. The proposed changing of the names of the school paper and the yearbook was discussed at some length. It was decided by the group that since the campus paper deals mostly with the doings of the students actually in the school, it would be best to let the students themselves decide whether or not to change the name. They agreed to stand by any name chos en by the staff of the paper.
