Show Take Oyer Intermural Softball Lead Although tennis is still considered, technically a minor Colsport here at Wesminster lege, the tennis team took the major titles down at the noted Brigham Young Invitationals. The Parson racquet-wieldin- g squad led by Bill Bridenbaugh and Elliott single Haynes and Peter Prout in the doubles walked off with top honors for the blue ribbon and gold medal awards. Bill Bridenbaugh gained his coverted award by beating Mesa Colleges number one singles, and then in the next match beat last years Confer-- 1 ence singles champ from in the Snow College, Larry Weg-kam- p, in the final round. Prout Peter Elliot and Haynes came through with the doubles championship by playing three matches. In the semifinals, they beat Weber Colleges top players in Asshby-Roberdoubles combination in straight sets. Then the winners of the previously held Quadrangular meets held at the University of Utah courts fell to the Parson team. Prout-Haynts es defeated Stump-Frish-nec- kt of Snow College in a torrid match. g The tennis team defeated Weber College twice on the basis.
