That is that Miss Kearns will serve a full year before entering the Miss Utah Contest, rather than entering immediately in June. This would give the current and future Miss Kearns, who are usually in their senior year of high school, a full year in which to gain the maturity and improved talent to compete with the many college girls who enter the State and National Beauty contests. The $25.00 entry feee into the Miss Utah Contest and the $100 for her Miss Utah wardrobe will be placed into an account for Miss Kearns each year, awaiting her entry in the contest the following June. The proposal met with the approval of Miss Kearns and her attendants, and Carol Ann Casebolt will therefore enter the Miss Utah Contest in June 1964 after a year of college. Kearns Jaycees have every confidence that this lovely queen will win the titla. Attending the dinner were Miss Kearns, 2nd attendant Karon Andrews, Judy Shakespeare, Loretta Whittle, Dixie Keech, Sherry Hiatt, Sharon Andrews, JoAnn Curley, and Linda Higley. Unable to attend were Nancy Acord, Gaylia Christensen and Nancy Acord.
