Show Thursday, March 26, 1959 YWCA Workshop Starts New Term A new term of the YWCA arts will begin Monday, workshop March 30, and continue through May 9. Classes will be offered in oil and water color painting for beginners and advanced students. The course is designed to develop artistic awareness by learning basic design, mixing of colors and the fundamental techniques of oil and watercolor painting. Classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 3 p.m. and on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:3- 0 p.m. Outdoor sketching and portrait painting will be included. Childrens classes in arts and crafts will be geared toward meeting the creative childs expression through crafts projects plus drawing and painting. This course is offered on Saturday mornings. Seven to nine year olds will meet from 10-1- 1 a.m., the 10-1- 4 year age group will meet from 11 a.m. until noon. Miss Martha Clapp, who has recently returned from extensive travel and study in France and Italy will conduct the classes. She has done graduate work at the University of California in painting and sculpture. She has won many awards at local art exhibits, is recognized as a successful teacher. Boy Scout Troop 267 of the Twin Peaks District is sponsored by St. Pauls Lutheran Church and Mr. Walter Slygh is scoutmaster. Other adult officers are: Rev. Carl E.
