Show ARTS The Leonardo exhibits ranging from hands-o- n science activities, photographs of Americas homeless, to the insides of human bodies. Body World Exhibit There are over 200 specimens used throughout the exhibit created by physician and anatomist, Dr. Gunther von Hagens. Plastination is the process in which the bodies have been preserved. Plastination involves five crucial steps to creating the Body World exhibit Embalming & Anatomical Dissection 1. - This involves pumping Formalin into the body to stop decay of tissue. 2. Removal of Body Fat & Water - Each body is placed in an Acetone bath to dissolve all soluble fats and body water. 3. Forced Impregnation-Thi- s STEAM Hands On Activities currently offers step is when active polymers are absorbed into the body while the acetone is removed. 4. Positioning - The body is then positioned with numerous wires, clamps, needles and foam blocks. ENTERTAINMENT OFF CAMPUS 5 I stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The Leonardo created mini exhibits to expand ones questioning STEAM skills. Science - One is able to learn how Tesla created free energy by discovering limitless, wireless energy. Technology - The technology exhibit offers the experience to make a Blockbuster by creating a silent film, digital painting and weather broadcasts. Engineering- - One can create his or her own gadgets or discover the basic principles of physics and engineering. exhibit Arts- - A hands-o- n that has supplies to create any art project from sculpting, drawing or painting. Mathematics- - The importance of math in everyday life is revealed in this activity. No Fixed Address: The Face of America's Homeless , This was my personal ' favorite out of all the exhibits, said Elle Orifield, senior finance major. Viewers can walk through numerous black and white photos depicting the faces of Americas homeless population. I choked up seeing the photo of the innocent face of the little girl said Bryce Kastner, . first-yeaviation major.
