Coronas popularity among outdoor enthusiasts has created noise pollution, environmental impact and fatal accidents. The Bureau of Land Management estimates that over 40,000 people a year visit the Corona Arch in the Moab area to hike, rock climb or rope swing from the 140 by 105 foot tall arch. However, not everyone hike who makes the to the Corona Arch wants to participate in roped activities. An excerpt from the BLM website reads, The temporary restriction is proposed in re- I ar sponse to public comments indicating that roped activities at these locations may interfere with the experiences of other recreationists in the area."
