He indicated his plan to post regular office hours on a bulletin board outside of the extra-curricul- ar ASWC offices as soon as possible. When the ASWC offices are closed, the Student Services offices directly across the hall from ASWC will be open. Debbie Jenkins, the Dean of Students, was out of the office the first full week of classes, but Black says shes more than eager to help with student questions. This years victor was Dr. Hoda Mahmoudi Friday, September 3rd, 2:30 p.m. n, se September 17, 1982 Forum Page 4 Mahmoudi, originally from Persia, came to America in 1959 with her father, while she was still a very young girl. Both she and her father had very high hopes of success. Mahmoudi, now married, went on to graduate from the University of Utah, along with her husband. She majored in sociology and her husband in clinical psychology. She and her husband had trouble finding the right jobs in the same state, but fortunately they found just what they were looking for right here in Salt Lake City. Mahmoudi checked out many other colleges, but found that what Westminster had to offer was most inviting. She has been here for the past four years. Four months ago, Mahmoudi and her husband were blessed with a baby boy. When asked how she managed to juggle teaching and motherhood, her reply was, It isnt the amount of time spent, but rather the quality of the time spent with my son. In the summer, she went on to say, most of her time was spent with her baby. While he was napping, she was preparing her lectures for her night class. Now, she continued, she has managed to have all her classes and appointments in the morning and early afternoon, so that the baby is only at the sitters five to six hours a day. Through her busy schedule and devotion to her family, Mahmoudi has succeeded to be the of a published research paper. The data was collected from her doctoral thesis. The paper compared the bureaucracy and orginizational structure in the United States to a country in the Middle East Iran. Her coauthor was a professor at her university.
