Thelma Pierce Wellington Comments Do you resist whenever told that you have to do something? I do. Now we are told the U.S. is going to change over to the metric system and we have to change with it. I hate to quote an old cliche but Im just sure you cant teach this old dog that kind of a new trick. You say they teach the metric system in high school. Not me. In high school I took the study of boys, from a safe distance of course, art and history in that order. Probably when they were teaching the metric system I was looking out the window. Anyway what do I care how our system compares with that in Britain, Europe and elsewhere? Having been told all of my lite that anything they can do we can do better the whole idea of change is resisted. Still, if youll show me a chart, done in bold black because my eyes are weak, Ill try. If you can do it I can.
