McKinnon, clerk of the Carbon county Selective Service board, announced today that the fourteenth quota call has been re- ceived from the Salt Lake headquar- ters calling for three boys to be in- ducted into the United States army on August 5. The names of the three who will be called for this quota are not known as yet, Mr. construction of the Scofield reservoir. It was reported at the meeting that from all present indications Sanpete county is not ready to go ahead with its portion of the proposed project at the present time. The meeting discussed a proposal advanced by which the Scofield project could be undertaken as a separate unit and under which plan construction could be started imof mediately without the Sanpete interests. In this event, it was pointed out that Carbon county would be required to stand surety for approximately $155,000 as compared with the $70,000 which would be its obligation if the Sanpete was acquired at the present time.
