WANT HAS ARTICLE ABOUT Roost Roundup, a yearly event staged by the Eastern Utah Rodeo association, an auxiliary organization of the American Legion post of Price, Utah, has a local historical background that justifies staging there an annual event of the early Western day type. In this section is located one of the most famous hideouts used by some of the gun totin bad men of the early day West, the place which has given to this rodeo its colorful name, Robbers Roost, a spot where a handful of men could stand off a small army of attackers for days at a time. Zane Grey attracted nationwide attention to these places when he wrote his book, Robbers Roost, a novel which pictured in wmrds much of the local territory atmosphere and some of the types of characters who inhabited this area just before the turn of the century. One of the nations larger magazines published a series of articles in 1938 which told much concerning the early colorful days in this area, a . Bracken Lee, Mayor. William Grogan, Recorder. Register.
