Mrs. Miss Lee Glenn of New York City arrived by jet Friday to the evening spend Thanksgiving holidays visiting her friend E. Forrest Munson and his parents. at Entertaining a dinner party at their home Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Udy. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Steven and Winward family of Fredonia, Ariz; Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Udy and daughter Carrie Sue of Salt Lake City. Returning from a delighful vacation in California were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Udy. They and visited their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bost and family in Culver City and their daughter Mrs. Elma son-in-la- Mazzola accompanied them home and spent a few days visiting. Saturday visitors of Mrs. Alene Sutherland were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sutherland of Ogden. 9 Spending Thanksgiving Day with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pulver and family will be Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pulver Jr. of Salt Lake City. Visiting in Salt Lake City Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Earl. They enjoyed dinner at Sambo's Restaurant. Mrs. Richard Petersen and family will have Bishop and as their Thanksgiving dinner guests Miss Betty Petersen of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jensen and family of Brigham City, President and Mrs. Donald Petersen and family, Mrs. Donetta Petersen, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jensen and family of Fielding. Evening Visitors Evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Munson and family Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. Clair Loosli of Idaho Falls. Vicky Leavitt, a student at USU in Logan spent the Thanksgiving holidays visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Val Leavitt and family. Mrs. Lovinnie Holt spent several days of last week visiting her daughters Mrs. Viola Stokes and Mrs. LaRee Whitney and families in Ogden. Sacrament attended She meeting where Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Tavsom presented the program. Mrs. Taysom is Mrs. Holts granddaughter. Spending Saturday visiting Mrs. Donetta Petersen were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jensen of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Potter and sons Dean and Merrill will spend Thanksgiving Day with Mr. and Mrs. Keith (Arlene) Anderson and family in Ogden. Mrs. Sara Moss and Mrs. Jeanine Kent accompanied by of Mrs. Ardell Thomas Bethesda, Md. and Mrs. Susie Everton of Logan enjoyed a dinner party at the Bluebird in Logan Thursday. Dinner guests at the home of payload will continue on into orbit. Space booster The space shuttle will be able to carry a wide variety of cargo, including civilian and military satellites. It will also be capable of carrying a half dozen or more scientists or engineers into space to conduct missions requiring human participation. Development flights will begin in 1978 and when operational in the 1980s, the space shuttle will drastically reduce the cost of placing satellites in orbit and permit their return for repairs as required. Attending Box Elder High schools play Tom Sawyer held in the auditorium Friday evening were Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason. Their granddaughter Cherrie Hansen had one of the leading roles. "Parliamentary Procedure." Plans were made for the Christmas party, which will be held on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. Mrs. Ellen Gillispie gave a very informative demonstration on, Sewing with Knits. Refreshments were served by Marlene and Judy Braegger. ti New Residents We would like to extend a welcome to new residents, Dean and Janie Youngkeit and children, who have built a new home in Willard. An early Thanksgiving dinner was by enjoyed Judy Braeggers family. On Sunday the family gathered at the home of her brother, Doug McNelly in Harrisville. Guests were father, Art McNelly, Kay Frotney, Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Braegger and family, Willard. This was first time, all the family had been together in 15 years. On Tuesday, Nov. 20, August Braegger underwent eye surgery, at the St. Benedicts hospital in Ogden. Its a small world In, department, Elder Neil Lynn Braegger, son of the Wayne Braeggers, met a nephew of other Willard residents, Edith McClurg and Gladys Schroeder. Elder Kevin Clauson of Bountiful, they are serving their mission in the Philadelphia, Penn. area. Lloyd Johanson, Ontario, Ore., visited at the Johanson and Willis Johnsons homes in Bethesda, Md. attended the Oriental dinner and bazaar held in the Honeyville Buddhist Church Saturday evening. Mrs. Ernie Anger accompanied by Mrs. James Westley and daughters Michelle and Marla of Brigham City spent Saturday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Darold Simmons and family, Mr and Mrs. Robert Anger in Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Gail Anger and family in Bountiful. Mrs. Leora Penhorwood of Clearfield and Evan Rudd of Bountiful were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Rude Saturday. Mrs. Millie Hess of Rockland, Idaho was an overnight guest at the Rudd home Saturday. 0SEHGB SD south Willard this weekend. Its another boy for the Douglas Lees. Mrs. Lee is the former Mary Jane Lemon, daughter of the Roy Lemons. Captain Lee is a pilot with the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Anchorage, Alaska. Grandmother Helen Jane Lemon left by plane on Friday, to get acquainted with the baby and help out for awhile. Daughters of Utah Pioneers met at the home of Lola Parker on Thursdav Nov. 15. Lesson on, Names of Cities and Counties, Reason Why Names," was given by Arlene Kunzler. The pioneer sketch was given by Lola Parker. Refreshments were served to 13 guests by hostess, assisted by Emily Chadwick. Next meeting will be Dec. 20 and a Christmas party is planned, at the Prisella Nichols home. Mr. and Mrs. Gay Pettingill of South Willard enjoyed a trip to Juarez, Mexico this past week. They traveled via Las Vegas, Nev. and visited with his mother, Wanda Pettingill. Enroute home they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lemon at Washington, Utah. They were gone seven days. Get well wishes go out to Eunice Wright, who just returned home from St. Benedicts hospital. She reports of another meeting of elders in the mission field. Donnie Wright, met Elder Holey, son of the Cecil Holeys of Plain City. They are serving their mission in the Cumorrah mission near Buffalo, N.Y. Welcome back to Willard to the Craig Weavers. They will soon be living near her parents, the Jack Wrights. Donna Weaver is visiting this week with her sister Jackie Lee in Holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Braith-wait- e spent the weekend in the Arco-Rocklan- Idaho area. Visited with family and friends. While enroute home, they traveled through a mud storm Snowville and between Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Eldred L. Braithwaite visited with the Francis Braithwaites. They were in Utah on their annual Christmas buying trip to the wholesale offices in Salt Lake City. The Braithwaites have a store at Moore, Idaho. Mrs. Kenneth Barker and children are visiting until January, at the home of her parents the Richard Braeggers. Kenneth is in the Navy, serving in the Japan area. Cleanne, accompanied by daughter, Janet and John R.L. Barker were in Long Beach, Calif, on business recently. Madge Watts, had eye surgery Friday in the Logan hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. She is to be quiet for two weeks so requests no visits for the present. She returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Oyler and son Jason were Saturday visitors at his parents home, the - well wishes to Evading Howard Sorenson. Jay and Lucille Pierce recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Their son Jay Warren, stationed with the Navy at Oklahoma City, Okla. called to congratulate them. Visitors in Ogden Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Francis Witt. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Byran Deal and with Mr. Felix Mackey. Mr. Mackey wishes to be remembered to all his friends in Willard. Brigham City extends fall cleanup campaign Brigham City cleanup crews will make one more pass through town, picking up rubbish and debris. City Councilman A1 Cazier said Tuesday the citys annual fall cleanup campaign was extended because many residents still have piles of debris in front of their homes. The deadline for putting out rubbish, leaves, branches and other refuse will be Saturday, Dec. 1, he commented. The councilman urged residents not to pile refuse after this date because they will be in violation of city ordinance and subject to a citation.
