Val--eittin- e will be honored by their family, Sunday, March 5, in the celebration of their golden wedding anniversary. The Valentines eight living children and their families expect to be together for the occasion. They are Merrell Valentine and Mrs. T. L. Broad-bent- , Salt Lake City; A. E. Valentine, Irwin, Idaho; Mrs. R. N. Price, Brigham City; 'Miss Ruth Valentine, Price; Mrs. Heifer Jacobs and Mrs. Paul Sjteen, Ogden; and Lee Valentine, Palo The oldest Alto, California. daughter, Edith (Mrs. Sperry W. Lawson) died In 1919. Ottolina Bengtson Valentine was born in tMolmo, Sweden. She came to the United States and Utah in 1899 as a convert to the L. D. S. church, after being baptized by S. Norman Lee, while he was serving a mission in Sweden in 1897. She married Nephi J. Valentine, March 7, 1900 in the Logan temple. Since that time they have lived ' ' ' in Brigham City.' Valentine was bom in Brigham City November 15, 1867, son of Valentine and Hannah Benson Valentine. Nephi built the first small home he owned on a part of that farm and has lived at that location for the past sixty years. He owned and operated a farm near the old cement plant, worked for the U. and I. Sugar company for a short time and was manager of the Brigham City for Fruit Growers association , several years. Some of his early experiences included the hauling of wood with team and wagon before he was nine years of age, learning to make wooden shoes at 11 years of age and herding sheep at 13. At the age of 14 he drove a four horse team, freighting into Montana. When 15 years old he donated a summers work at the Logan L. D, S. temple. On January 4, 1888 he was married to Sarah B. Merrell.
