S. temple was the scene of a double ring ceremony that united Miss Alice Mae Burt and Sidney B. Johnson as man and wife on September 12. Benjamin Bowring officiated at the ceremony. A breakfast was served the wedding party following the ceremony at the Hotel Utah and a reception later the same evening at the brides parents honored the occasion. The bride was lovely in a traditional heavy ivory satin gown styled with fitted bodice and full draped skirt that fell in deep gores at the back. The dainty collar and tips of the long sleeves were trimmed with point lace. Her brides illusion, finger tip veil fell from a beada ed juliana cap. She carried bridal bouquet of an orchid corsage surrounded by stephanotls wdth wide net streamers falling from the bouquet. The maid of honor, Faye Jane Knudson, and bridesmaid Mary Lou Olsen were gowned in identical models of dusty blue and fuschia and carrying nosegays of baby roses and daisies. Mrs. Johnson was gracious in grey and Mrs. Burt lovely in rose street length dresses, accented by corsages on the left prjmary Officials Hold Opening Meet The Perry ward Primary officers and teachers held a teacher training meeting Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Snow. Mrs. May Wagstaff, counselor, conducted the meeting and announced the opening song as Be Happy. Invocation was pronounced by Mrs. Royal Petersen. Mrs. Merle Andrews lead in a prayer project demonstration after which the 'business of the meeting was transacted. Thelma Billings then gave the lesson and displayed charts showing the child development through-prope- r training and understanding of the child. Several new officers were introduced at this meeting, .which completes a fully organized organization. .Refreshments were served to the ladies by the Primary presidency and Mrs. Alice Snow, after which benediction was offered by Lois Thorne. Tiny Guests Invited To Birthday Party For Richard Hobson 'Little Richard Hobson Shirlea Josephson . cele- brated his third birthday anniversary Wednesday afternoon at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hobson with a gala party. The little guests played several games on the lawn, after which they were served a delicious luncheon by Mrs. Hobson, who also presented each little boy and girl with a eleven balloon and popcorn ball favor. While luncheon was being consumed, Richard opened h i s many birthday gifts amidst the shouts of glee of the children. Shirlea Josephson Will Marry Joseph Christensen, Oct. 8 Lee Valentine And Family Visit In Utah A wedding reception and dance honored Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Norr of Deweyville on Sept. 15 following their wedding earlier the same day in the Salt Lake L. D. S. temple. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Stan-fil- l of Penrose and her husband is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Norr of Deweyville. t h e couple Accompanying through the temple were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Norr, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Norr and Mr. and Mrs. James Dixon who received their endowments and the parents of bolh bride and groom and a friend, Mrs. Schumann. A wedding dinner was served following the ceremony at the Hotel Temple Square for members of the weding party. For her wedding and reception, the lovely bride chose a white taffeta gown with long pointed sleeves, sweetheart neck and full skirt that fell into an eight foot train at the back. Her bridal veil of brides illusion was caught at the crown by a seed pearl tierra. Her bouquet was a detachable orchid corsage surrounded by stephanotls and satin ribbon. Mrs. Sherma Lund was matron of honor and Blaine Saunders the best man. Matron of honor and four bridesmaids were gowned in pastel formals and carried nosegays of matching hues. Mrs. Gladys 'Norr and Mrs. Nola Norr were in charge of the gifts and serving was directed by Sonja Norr, Connie Norr and Karen Norr. The couple left immediately following the reception for a honeymoon trip to Southern Cal ifornia and Arizona. Both bride and groom are graduates of Bear River high school and the groom served overseas in the Pacific area with the U. S. navy during World War II.
