Of this number, 73 shipments were from the local area. The report revealed that Box Elder county led all other counties in the state in shipments of apricots and tomatoes. There were 38 shipments of apricots, produced mostly in the Brigham City area, which composed more than half of the states total 61 shipments. Honeyville was credited with seven shipments of tomatoes, which represented all the tomatoes shipped from Utah during the year. Other comparisons show that Beaver county led in potato shipments with 357 while Box Elder was listed second with 45, the bulk of wrhich were grown in the Honeyville area. The county produced 11 car-lot-s of cherries for shipment, compared with a state total of 259 and eight carlots of dry onions, as part of Utahs 181 shipments. Los Angeles, Calif., provides a big market for Utah-growfruits and vegetables, however, these commodities are shipped to points as far distant as New York and Massachusetts.
