T Last Meeting Of 1952 Held For Civic Club At Second Ward Meet Last meeting of 1952 was held (or Civic Improvement club members on Monday afternoon, December 29, in the War Memorial home. The hall was attired for the holidays with Mrs. Zenos W. Earl, president, presiding and Conducting. L Following welcome by President Earl, flag ceremony was led iby Mrs. Mathew Compton and prayer given by Mrs. Winston P. Nelson. Mrs. Herman Hadfield was introduced as special guest Following minutes and various reports from committee heads Mrs. Howard Mills introduced Mrs. Wm. D. Hollist, who accompanied by Miss Ruth Morrell, sang two vocal selections. Speakers for the afternoon were Mrs. ,ar! Glen Andersen and Mrs. Orson Christensen. ?: , Both, of the Civic members, with the aid of slides and movies, told of theiT recent trips abroad. Mns. Andersen delighted the "group with personal experiences in relation to conditions in foreign countries. Mrs. Christensen stressed points of historical value. On December 21, Mr. and. Mrs. Jenson entertained 20 members of their family at hot turkey dinner. Dinner was served from one long table centered with a min iature Christmas tree with crys tal candleholders on either side. .'Following dinner each family had pictures taken and gifts were exchanged. Santa Makes Final Visit To Seventh Ward I J?yT r Santa Claus made hie final visit of the year to Seventh ward youngsters on Saturday afternoon, December 27, in the amusement hall. Dancing squares, mixers and little folk dances was the diversion of the afternoon with Mrs. Cleopha Larsen at the piano. Junior Sunday school supervisors, Mrs. Blanche Croesman, Mrs. Ann Jensen and Mrs. Marjorie Petersen, along with Primary officers, Mrs. Ruth Reeder, Mrs. Delone Andersen and Mrs. Virginia Wight were in charge of the party. Potluck Holiday Party Held At Jay C. Hansens The home of Mr. and Mns. Jay C. Hansen was the scene of a potluck holiday party. Following supper, bridge was the .diversion of the evening. The Yost ward celebrated a Christmas party Tuesday night. The school presented a little show. Then Ole Santa arrived to wish all a Menry Christmas, and a nice gift was given to everyone. Dick Barnes went to Park Valley Wednesday and Bert Coleman returned with him to spend Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Thompson and girls have been visting. at the home of Arland Thompson. Merle Jones spent his few days vacation home. Also Gayle Gunnell was home.
