Remarks were made by Melvin Roberts and Albert Bingham, superintendents of the Sunday schools in the two wards. A gift was presented to Louise Ingram for having served as secretary of the original Box Eider stake Sunday school board for 42 years. The gift was presented by C. O. Roskelley, former stake superintendent of the Sunday school in Commenting on her the Sunday school, Louise stated that as a stake worker she made Sunday visits, horse and buggy Second Feature style, as far north as Snowville. She also related several humorous incidents that occurred during her services. LaPreal Wight gave an original historical reading entitled Train 82, depicting the 82 years the Box Elder county stake Sunday school was organized. She described the stake workers as engineers, flagmen, section help, etc. The opening and closing prayers were given by President John P. Lillywhite and President Glen M. Bennion respectively. Wilma Walker gave a summary of her seminary work and Arlene Wight talked on the early life of the Prophet Joseph Liebes-traum- , A piano solo, Smith. played by Colleen Oyler after which another seminary graduate .Marilyn Judson spoke of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. Patricia Bott then played a piano solo after which short speeches were made by visitors, Donna Hirschi of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Thorne of Baldwin Park, Calif. Remarks were made by Counselor Oyler and after the closing song, Parting Hymn," benediction was pronounced by Earl Young. w'ere Members and two guests of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority enjoyed an outdoor party held at Rees Pioneer park Friday evening. A delicious hot supper was served to the group after which several interesting competitive games were played, under the direction of Anne Erickson. Plans were discussed concerning the Beta Sigma Phi conclave at Ogden, set for August 27 and 28. Brigham City. Utah Mrs. C. E. Olsen Is Visiting With Parents Mrs. C. E. Olsen of Lafayette, Indiana, is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Buchanan for ten days. She will join her husband, who is a student at Purdue University upon her return and they will travel to Washington, D. C. ournai Wednesday, August 17, 1949 where Mr. Olsen will do research work for the U. S. navy, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Buchanan and another daughter, have just returned fronp a ten day vacation trip motoring through California. They were the guests of several friends and relatives in the Sacramento Valley and were honored at many parties and picnics during their stay there. .oe. William A. The Bryce family are a prominent pioneer family after which Bryce canyon received its name for the groom's great grandfather. Daines Family Hold Reunion At Park Sat. The Daines family held their annual family reunion at the Box Elder county park on August 6, with Lyman B. Morrell acting as general chairman, assisted by Homer and Earl Daines. Visiting .sociability, songs and games were played during the afternoon, after which a delicious buffet supper was served to 125 members. Mrs. Evelyn Daines entertained with an original humorous reading entitled, Through The Years. Lyman B. Morrell was released and Ray Daines elected to serve with Homer and Earl Daines to direct the family reunion affairs for the coming year.
