At the meeting three new members were taken into the club. They are: Mrs. Arnold M. Barnes, Mrs. Nathan Reeves and Mrs. W, R. Clark. Officers for the year were elected as follows: Mrs. W. P. Epperson, president; Mrs, Robert Mrs. G. D. RutBurkin, Mrs. ledge, secretary; George W. treasurer. Swan, Light refreshments were served to fourteen guests late in the afternoon. The MMine Universal Tractor came off with flying colors at the demonstration test held at the farm of John Flint Tuesday afternoon. Both in the plowing test and as a power engine it made more than good. It operated the big hay cutter in use at that place to its utmost capacity. Mr. and Mrs. Sirl Davis were the guests of relatives in Ogden on Sunday. A daughter was bom to Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bone yesterday at their ' home in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Manning will move to Salt Lake in the near future, where they will make their home. Miss Eldora Rampton of Bountiful was the guest of Miss Elizabeth Green for several days during the past week. Miss Marian Renstrom of Huntsville spent the latter part of the week with her sister, Miss Moiselle Renstrom, in Kaysville. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Yowell of Salt visitors at Lake City were week-en- d the home of Mr. and Mrs. .Charles Hayes. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Campbell and family of Salt Lake City visited with Mr .and Mrs. W. P. Epperson on Sunday and Monday of this week. Frank B. M.iir purchased the D. B. Phillips property on Monday of this week. Mr, and Mrs. Muir have been living in the property for sometime. J. G. M. Barnes and Jacob E. Lay-to- n of Clearfield went to Fairview, Idaho, Sunday to visit with William Bodily of that place, who has been very ill for the past few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. George Young, who have been residing on the Joseph Hill farm in West Kaysville for several months, will move to their former home on Locust street in the neat future. NOTICE TO STOCKHOLDERS , Notice of special meeting of stockholders of the Holmes Creek Irrigation Company. A special meeting of the Stockholders of the Holmes Creek. Irrigation Company will be held at the office of said company at La Tonia Hall, in Layton, Utah, on March 15, 1919, at 1 oclock p. m. "This corporation shall continue and exist for the term of one hundred (100) years unless sooner dissolved according to law. Article IV. The object, business and pursuit of this corporation is and shall be to own, acquire, purchase, make, build, construct and maintain reservoirs, ditches and canals in Davis County, Utah, or adjoining 'counties in said state or purchase stocks or interests in same and to acquire or purchase water or water rights and to sell, control or distribute all waters acquired, owned or purchased and to maintain and control all necessary or convenient flumes, pipes, ditches or any other means or appliances necessary to carry on the purposes of this corporation and also to own, purchase or acquire such real estate or personal prop- erty as may be deemed necessary or convenient for such purposes.' Article VI. The amount of the Capital Stock of this oorporation shall be fifty thousand dollars ($50,000,00) which shall be divided into one thousand shares at a par value of fifty dollars ($50.00) each Article VII. The officers of this corporation shall be: 1st. A board of five directors. 2nd. A president. 3rd. A 4th. A secretary and treasurer. That all of such officers shall be directors of such corporation, except 'the secretary and urer, who may be other, than directors." Article XI. The annual Stockholders meeting of said corporation for the election of officers and for the transaction of such other business as shall come lawfully before it, shall beheld on the Second Monday of February, annually, at the office of the Company, at ton, Davis county, Utah.
