This is the best holiday season that Salt Lake City andltah has ever ex perienced, because it has the best holiday spirit of peace on earth and good will to all men. Lot us foster that spirit. Nibley, presiding bishop of the Mormon church delivered the following brief speech. It is a great speech coming as it does from a man so high in the councils of the dominating church of Utah. It means that Utah is to gq ahead until her greatness is fully worked out. Following are the remarks made by Bishop Nibley: It is a privilege to live in Salt Lake City. It has the best climate and the best contiguous country in the world. It has the rarified atmosphere of the mountains and in addition it has otf the unequaled combination alt air. From a healthful standpoint it cannot be equaled. In a radius of 300 miles around Salt Lake City there is a combination of resources, mineral, agricultural and manufacturing which cannot be equaled in any 300-miterritory in the United States. There is not a territory of similar size that has one-haof its combination of resources. le lf I predict that within ten years there will be mined in Utah 30, 000 tons of coal a day, or 30,000, 000 tons every year. The cars leaving Utah will carry to the port of the Pacific, for ships passing through the Panama canal, coal for the world. And this will only be the development in one industry.
