He will enter the Mission Training Center April 23. ar Pianist gives class, concert April 24 Concert pianist Cedric Pescia of Switzerland will present two unique opportunities for Uintah Basin concert music lovers Thursday, April 24 at Uintah High School. He will begin the day by offering a free Master Class from 10 a.m. to noon in the UHS Auditorium for all piano students, their parents and teachers. Parents are reminded that very young children and babies may be a distraction for those performing and listening. Pescia will then present his public concert of classical music at 7:30 that evening. The Swiss pianist began playing piano when he was seven years old, and has continued to develop his considerable talent by world-wid- e performances, and winning the prestigious 2002 Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City. In addition to solo and orchestral throughout North performances America and Europe, Pescia is a frequent partner in collaborative performances. Tickets for the evening of masterfully performed music are only $5, a significant savings over tickets for his concerts in metropolitan Cedric Pescia areas. m The Vernal concert is being cosponsored by the Uintah Arts Council and both Vernal and Roosevelt chapters of the Utah Music Teachers Associations. Free gospel music concert Gospel music recording artist Richard Lee Conrad will present a free Easter evening concert April 20 in the Vernal Christian Church worship Center at 1845 West 750 State Utah South (behind University and west of the Canal Road.) The free Sunday evening concert will begin at 6 p.m. A free will offering will be received for the Conrad ministry. Conrad has traveled throughout the United States as a singer of gospel music for over 12 years, his ministry has been featured on both radio and television, and he has sung as part of some of the largest ministry crusades in the country. The Vernal concert will be his first performance here in six years. Two Easter morning worship services at Vernal Christian Church will feature his music.
