This is one of the many room settings to be seen in World of Ideas, the Home Decorating program with the International Flavor, presented by Celanese Corporation of America. Celanese went Around the World to find unique ideas for the extraordinary fabric designs which appear in the program. The program is divided into four parts showing how the Ancient Customs, Architecture and Colors of Denmark, Spain, Austria and several countries in Asia have been translated into American fabrics and furnishings of Celanese Contemporary Fibers. World of Ideas will be shown on December 17, 1957 at Sunny-sid- e Library, for Sunnyside Book Cliff Club.. Mrs. Tom Quayle will read the commentary on the 55 color slides in this program, which includes 35 Room Settings. In addition to the Room Settings, the program includes a group of colorful pictures of the Countries visited. These pictures are from the pages of HOLIDAY Magazine and they transform the program into a HOME DECORATING TRAVELOGUE. The color slides also show how fabric design is created. For instance Temple bells from Bangkok, Antique Ornaments from Vienna, Lacey Grill work from Madrid, Contemporary Ceramics from Copenhagen become the motifs for gossomer sheer printed fabrics, heavy antique satins, taffetas, and sturdy upholstery fab- te Nflffl. RICHARD STARK Reception Honors Dragerton Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Hunting-to- n wedding re- entertained at a ception Friday night in the Dragerton recreation hall of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. The affair was in honor of the marriage October 5 in Elko, Nevada, of their daughter, Ramona, and Richard Stark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stark, also of Dragerton. , The attractive bride wore a lace with creation of ballerina-lengt- h sleeves of fingertip length. Ruffles of lace covered the satin skirt. The dainty bridal veil was adorned with a crown of pearls. The bodice was edged with a high collar and the bridal bouquet was of pink roses and white carnations. Matron of honor was Mrs. Albert Pierce of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, sister of the, groom. She wore a dainty gown of copper-colore- d lace and net. Maid of honor was Connie Huntington, sister of the bride. She was gowned in baby blue taffeta with lace and net. Bridesmaids were Charlene Rhett, Ea'rlene Rauhala and Jean Henrie. T h e y wore attractive gowns of pink and pastel shades and all attendants wore corsages of pink and white carnations. Best man was Gilbert Stark, brother of the groom. Mrs. Huntington wore --a turquoise lace creation while Mrs. Stark wore a beige gown. Helen Sherwood, Doris Behling and Dee Turnbull were responsible for the attractive decorations carried out in pink, white and green color schemes. These ladies were also in charge of refreshments. Bouquets of chrysanthemums graced the stage, and a large bridal doll, in addition to a bridal tree, hung with wedding bells, added (Continued on page 2) t Baptist News The Sunday evening services of the First Baptist Church of Dragerton have been changed from 7 to 6 for Training Union and 7 for evening worship effective next Sunday. Prayer service on Wednesday evening will remain at 7. The Womens Missionary Union will meet each night this week for the Lottie Moon Foreign Mission Offering and Week of Prayer. Time will be 7 p.m. each evening Monday through Friday. Places will be Mrs., Jack Koskies home each evening" except Thursday, that evening the meeting will be at the church combined with the k regular Prayer Services. Mid-wee- The regular monthly meeting of the Holy Name Society was held Sunday, December 1, 1957, at the Good Shepherd Hall in Dragerton. Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament preceded the meeting. President , John asked of Martin Rodosh a report on the two turkey shoots held during November. Matters brought up for discussion were a New Years Dance, a Christmas Party, the School Bus and situation and the mid-mon- th month-en- d Bingoes. On December 14, 1957, the midmonth Bingo will be held at the Church Hall at 8:00 p.m.; turkeys and three hams will be available for prizes. On Saturday, December 21, 1957, there" will be a Pot-Lu- ck Christmas Party for. the members and their wives. Time: 7 :00 p.m. Place : Church hail. On Saturday, December 28, 1957, the regular monthly Bingo will be held, with good prizes on hand and the usual One Hunderd Dollar Bond, plus' free refreshments. At the conclusion of regular business, election of officers was held with the following results: President, Henry Murphy; Joe Kraus; Treasurer, Premo Eccli; Secretary, James Abeyta and Sargeant-at-ArmIsadore Vega. President John congratulated the new Officers and wished them every success during the coming year. Father Cullen expressed his sincere thanks to g Officers for the fine the work they did while in office. At that time it was indicated by Mr. Allan Howe, State President, that he would attempt to once again be present at the Carbon county meeting.
