Application is by mail only in the special envelope now available from license agents over the state. Envelopes postmarked later than midnight, August 22, will be returned to the sender. The department said application method for the 1,450 elk permits over 13 hunting units, as set up by the Utah Board of Big Game Control this year, varied in only one major respect from the past two years. For the first time two people may make a dual application for elk permits. The Board made this ruling following a recommendation for same from the states organized spprtsmen. Where two people wish to hunt together they may include choice of huntingunit, names and addresses, big game license numbers, and double the single fee in one elk application envelope. Spring Glens exhibit will also be in the Helper Civic Auditorium August 15, with Mrs. Audrey Dunn being the hostess. In East Carbon, the exhibit will be held at the LDS church auditorium in Sunnyside, August 16, for Dragerton, Sunny-sid- e and Columbia. Mrs. Marion Lund of Dragerton and Mrs. Margaret Naylor of Sunnyside will be hostesses. The Price exhibit will be held at Carbon College on August 17. Mrs. Nellie Duncan will be hostess. The Wellington exhibit will be at the schoolhouse on August 18. Exhibits should be taken to the first grade room on the north side of the building, using the north door of the building. Miss LaRene Petersen will be hostess. The Hiawatha exhibit will be at Car-mel- la on August 19. community exhibit days will be held the week of August 15 to 20, according to Charlene Lind, county home demonstration agent. A special feature of these exhibits are the demonstration cpn- tests. At 2:00 p.m. each day, members, singly or in pairs, will demonstrate some phase of their club work. Winners will be selected to go to the county demonstration contest on August 25. Judges for the community exhibits will be Mrs. Florence Pace, Mrs. Donna Davis, Mrs. Lena Waterman, Mrs. Myrtle Ree Slaugh, Mrs. Marjorie Curtis, Mrs. Beth Chidester, Miss Mafy Helen Bunnell, Mrs. Marie Snow and Mrs. Edna Pierce, all of Price; Miss Patty Dunn, Mrs. Frances Black-haMrs. Mary Duke, and Mrs. Audrey Dunn, all of Spring Glen, and Mrs. Katie Liddell and Mrs. Wanda Petersen, both of Fotfr-- H 4-- H m, Building.
