In addition to Mr. Harmon, Mr. Ockey, Mr. Dur-ran- t, Mr. Peacbck and Mr. Shurtz attended the meeting. Earl Dur-ra- nt and George Ockey gave a very clear and concise picture of the financial operation of our school system and how it had expanded considerably .within the past 25 years. The officials answered questions from the floor and invited everyone to come and attend their board meetings which take place once a month in addition to any special meetings which might be held. Harold Hanson, principal of East Carbon, presided in the absence of Ray Bowen, president of the PTA, who was out of town. Mrs. McAlpine and her student choruses gave a very delightful and gay program of choral music. The next PTA meeting will be held on February 12 in the school building. DOG PROBLEM IS SERIOUS The dog problem is getting to be serious here in Dragerton, seated Rip Collins, sheriff. Six persons were bitten last week. They were Jack Anderson, Jake Archuleta, William Butler and his two children and Dee Bagnell. It was necessary for Sheriff Collins to destroy two dogs. Collins stated that he is willing to work with the owners of dogs but Jhat it will, be necessary to keep the dogs under control. On any justifiable complaint which has been verified it will be necessary to take the necessary action. In most cases, stated the sheriff, it will be necessary to destroy stray animals. He stated that it is not his intention to destroy pets but it will be necessary for all pets to be kept under control at all times. 15 i j nt - ' . com-Mr- - d. eve-Ches- ter j i Planning Enlarge Trap , ge H ' j j . com-iplete- '011 d, j - ns j Lea-wh- en J be-he- ld - 'Altar - - First i Mr.-an- d and-AP- , - j BAKED GOODS SALE j . j The Catholic ladies from ColumSunnydale and bia, Sunnyside, a baked goods hold will Dragerton sale on Saturday, January 24, 1948, starting at 10 a. m. at John W.
