PAY YOU TO ... 21 An Important Column for Young People By DAN HALUGAN Dear Dan: Im a girl of 15 although I look more like 18 and j:j: I ve never had a date. Its not because my parents wont let i"S me because I know fhey would. Last week I had four chances :? to go with different guys but I didnt accept because I had just & met them before they asked me. Do you think I should accept a date the next time? I never ?; do get a second chance. Dateless Dear Dateless: At 15 a girl should be just starting her dating and not be frantic about it. She should also forget about looking more like 18 no matter how many of her friends have told her. Only date boys you know, preferably from school, and & in yojr own age group. If a boy With these qualifications asks or date and you want to go out with him, ask your parents If you can. g; Dear Dan: What is a nice thing a girl can say after a boy kisses her? I dont mean after a goodnight kiss because I thank a boy for the evening. Say youre at the drive-i: and during the evening he kisses you, whats a nice reply that jS will make a guy feel like a million dollars and also let him know you really enjoyed the kiss as well as appreciated his show of affection? I always smile but I can never seem to get any far- - :::::: ther than that. DG. Dear D. G.: A girl doesnt have to say anything because if ijiv she does, she might encourage the guy and if she doesnt know how to handle him, she could wind up in trouble. A boy may not feel like a million dollars after he kisses a girl at a drive- - x in and doesnt get his face slapped but I guarantee he feelsgood. in and doesnt get his face slapped but I guarantee he feels good. 7 n ;: PARKAY MARGARINE WISK DETERGENT SALTINE CRACKERS Nabisco POP CORN lRy Time 1 lb white HONEY 2 1 7 19c pkg or yellow 2 pkgS 39c 3 Jfc jar 70c Standby Grade A TANG SALAD DRESSING 1 Qt. 45c Or IP! We had a lot of fun together but I found out she was just too fast for' me. Shes 18 and Im 19. What Im up against is that tonight she phoned me and said she was pregnant and that shes going to say Im responsible. She wont tefll mr o is responsible but she says shes not, going to be blamed by her-self and that Im elected as the father. I know it could cause a lot of trouble, Dan, because it will be her word against mine and who will believe me? Is there something I can do? My parents dont know this yet but they D.R. may find out soon unless you come upp with an answer. Dear D.R.: You cant beat this by keeping it to yourself. First things first and that means tell your parents. A conference with your family doctor should follow abd from there, perhaps a conference with the girl and her parent i. If youre Innocent, You havent anything to worry about. STORES Dear Dan: My boy friend takes me to the school dances each week end and then just about leaves me flat for the evening. It isnt that hes off dancing with other girls but with his buddies. You see, a boy doesnt have to bring a girl to the dance and most of the kids come stag. My steady just goes around and talks to all of his friends and before I know it, its 11:30, apd time to go home. How can I break him of this habit? Left Stranded. Dear L.S.: The next time your boy friend does his disappearing act, you disappear too. Go home. When he phones you and wonders what happened, you can tell him. Its all right to be friendly but tell him hes not running for a public office. You may also have to tell him you wont go to the dances anymore with him before he gets cured. :: I:: :: $;j; How can anyona resist tha new cars?
