Show Nancy Allen I'jigagcd To F. 1). Symonds The Tooele Transcript Friday, February 16, 1962 IroimJ by Mrs. Wallace F. Bennett The wives of the gentlemen on Capitol Hill had nothing whatever to do with the recent additions now being completed at the Capitol. But when the Senate wives entered the newly completed family dining room, they discovered, to their consternation, that the large round tables which had graced the old dining room for so many years had been replaced by small square ones, seating only four. The Senate ladies have been entertaining their friends around the hospitable old round able for many years. Putting two or three square ones together, thus making a long awkward line, did not meet with their approval at all. Not to be outdone by the Knights of the the Ladies of the Round Table Roijnd Table, valiantly went to work for the return of the round tables, and a committee was appointed to see what could be done. After making innumerable inquiries as to who was responsible for the change, they finally tracked down the poor unsuspecting male in charge and presented their case. They were told the matter would be taken under Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Allen, of 407 South Main Street, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Miss Nancy Lee Allen to Ferris Duaine Symonds. It seems to me that since this incident we are all being treated with a new respect by the waiters. The headwaiter asked Mrs. Lausche if she would like to see what could be done about having the old mirrors moved to the new room. Never underestimate the power of a woman!
