Nelson and his pioneer parents. His father, Swen Nelson, was an early Tooele merchant and butcher, and went around the county from home to home in a covered light wagon with his meats, groceries and produce. He was late one evening finishing his route and he came to a home jest as they were having evening family prayer. He waited and listened and discovered that the family was entirely out of food, and without money to buy. They were asking a gracious God to send them food to satisfy their hunger, Swen Nelson quietly went back to his wagon and took a sack of flour and returned to the house and leaned it against the door, and drove away Let your imagination take this story from this point. Suffice is to say that the family was never aware that Swen Nelson left the flour. Let us return our thoughts to Alfred M. Nelson, whom we rate as one of the great men of this community and this county, and still engaged in answering the calls of public service. He has never divulged his age, and neither do we inquire, for his eternal youth makes such a question out of plare. Z'V'-- ' ,. No nation has t itself On lewdness of literature which long prospered which is a forerunner of lewdhess of conduct. God has never permitted an immoral people to long exist on the face of any part of this earth. He has said that the wages of sin are death. We have always been able to conquer our enemies through the grace of God, but lets not start fighting God by making lewdness a way of life.
