System piping and automated watering system will be built. Nephi City Council au- thorized the advertising of bids to construct the improvements. "We have been talking about the need for this upgrade for some time now, said Chad Brough, mayor. He said the council had been concerned about the best way to utilize water at the course to maximize the turf and conserve water at the same time. Brough asked Randy McKnight, city administrator, to report to the council about the plans for rebuilding the system. The course will remain playable during construction, McKnight said. The existing system will remain operational during that period. The city staff has re ceived plans and specifica- tions and those plans are currently being reviewed by the golf course employees and golf association, said McKnight. Once the bids are awarded, said McKnight, the construction phase will last 90 days. The new system should be working by the end of June or by mid-Jul- We will advertise for bids, will analyze those bids, and will award the bid within the next 30 days or so, said McKnight.
