Box 77 Nephi, Utah 84648 Times-New- WOOD STOVE CHILI Submitted by Allan Gibson. 2 cups beans. lVi dark red kidney pounds coarsely ground lamb or beef. 2 onions, coarsely chopped. 1 green pepper, coarsely chopped. 2 cans whole tomatoes. can tomato 1 sauce. 4 cloves garlic, chopped fine and pressed. 4 whole teaspoons cummin. 4 teaspoons whole oregano. Red chilies. 2 teaspoons if you like it mild, more if you like it hot. Salt to taste. Soak kidney beans over night. Brown meat, onions, garlic, and green peppers in a large sauce pan until brown. (This can be done on the wood stove but goes a lot faster on your regular range. Cast iron pots are the best if you have one.)
