Union Pacific, Chevron offer scholarship money to Juab members trom Juab County and the State of Utah are eligible for eight scholarships this year, according to Blaine Jones, USU Extension Agent for Juab County. Four scholarships of $400 each given by Union Pacific Railroad and four scholarships of $500 each from Chevron (Standard Oil) are now available. Juab may select one candidate for each of these scholarships, Jones says. Information on the scholarships and application forms may be obtained from the County Extension Office. Applicants for the Union Pacific Scholarships must be active members, seniors in high school, and in the top quarter of their high school graduating class. They must use the scholarship the following fall term or semester following graduation from high school. The applicants for the Chevron scholarships must also be 4-- 4-- active members, but can either be seniors in high school or graduates of no more than one year prior to application and not enrolled in an institution of higher learning. The applications for these scholarships should be filled out and returned to the Extension office by January 16, 1976. 4-- Voriette The annual Pot Luck Christmas party of the Variette club was held on December 18 at the home of Phyllis Christensen. Club members had dinner, played Christmas games, sang Christmas carols, and exchanged gifts. Those attending the meeting were Phyllis Christensen, Marjorie Steiner, Helen White, Betty Belliston, Joyce Bracken, Gwen Chapman, Della Dailey, Arlene Griffith, Carolyn Jarrett, LaRae Kendall, Grace Ostler, Marb. Stuart, and Norma Tolley. Wasp wrestlers beat IS, Richfield n week's matches The Juab High School wrestling squad have added two wins to their 1975-7record book, beating Richfield and Intermountain in matches during the past week. The Wasp matmen traveled to Brigham City on Wednesday of last week where they met the Intermountain School Eagles. Craig Hone and Alden Orme pinned their opponents. Mark Kay, Dan Spencer, and Jim Sutherland won by decisions, and Doug Anderson tied. The match score was Juab 30, Intermountain 26. In the JV match at Intermounscore. tain, Juab lost by a Joe McClellan and Ross Madsen won by pins, and Ernie Booth won by a decision. Richfield and Juab wrestled to a more score. Craig Hone, Bert Whimpey, Mark Kay, Doug Anderson, Dan Spencer, Jim Sutherland, Alden Orme, and Steve Newton each won by pins, and Roger Sperry won by a decision. The match score was Juab 52, Richfield 16. In the Richfield JV match, Bruce Kendall won with a pin and Joe White and Joe McClellan won by decisions.
