Paxman of the Nephi Second Ward will direct the services. Mr. Latimer was bom at Nephi August 6, 1893, to James T. and Karen Jensen Latimer. He married Annie Irene Sheppard October 13, 1920 at St. Anthony, Idaho. He resided in Nephi throughout his lifetime where he has been a farmer and stockman. Mr. Latimer served as a special Deputy Sheriff of Juab County during the Ute Stampede celebrations and the Juab County Fair. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and of the Nephi Second Ward. Survivors are his widow of Nephi; a son and a daughter: Max L. Latimer of Anchorage, Alaska and Mrs. Kay R. (Geraldine) Davis of Orem, Utah. Also survivng are 16 grandchildren, including Miss Terri Lynn Latimer who made her home with her grandparents; three great grandchildren and three sisters: Mrs. Jeanette Killpack, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Mina Simmons, Houston, Texas and Mrs. Elizabeth Mancusco of San Francisco, California. He is also survived by four Attends National Farm Bureau Convention A. Roy Bowles, president of the Juab County Farm Bureau was one of more than 6,000 in attendance at the Golden Anniversary convention of the American Farm Bureau Feder- ation held at Washington D. C last week. She preceded him in death November 16, 1969. , Mr. Christensen has been active in the LDS Church, having fulfilled a mission to Norway from 1910 to 1913, and also served as a Juab Stake missionary. He served as superintendent of the Y M M I A and as a counselor in the Sunday school. He and his wife served for 21 consecutive years on the Levan Ward Old Folks Committee. He was a member of the Seventy-firs- t Quorum of Seventies in Juab Stake. He followed farming and carpentry as occupations. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Gordon J. (Reva) Francom, American Fork; Mrs Cem W. (Olivene) Sorenson of Provo; and Mrs. Harlow W. (Blanche) Pexton, Nephi. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs Carl (Mary) Riggs and Mrs. J. (Tekla) Zang, both of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Maurice (Emma) Jensen of Clearfield. Interment at the Levan Cemetery will be directed by Anderson Funeral Home. Home After Competing Two Years Service Sp. 5 Randy Painter and Mrs. Painter (Barbara Barton) are in Nephi visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Painter and Mr. and Mrs. Don Barton. Sp. 5 Painter will report to Fort Lewis, for his release from service. He has spent the past 18 months in Alaska at the Arctic Test Center. He plans to attend school following his release. Herman (X Christensen Mona Lions Sponsor Yule Lights Contest Mona could easily beoome the small community with the highest percentage of decorated homes in Utah, as enthusiasm is running high In the current holiday season in regard to exterior decorating and lighting. Under a program sponsored by the Mona Lions Club, an increasing number of homes each year are being decorated in the colors and spirit of the Yuletide. Cash prizes are being offered by the Lions Club for the first, second and third place winners, with judging to be done on Tuesday evening, December 23. First and seoond place winners of 1968 and 1967 are not eligible for prizes. Temple President, Wife Speakers at Fourth Ward Event President Ruel Christensen of the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Mrs. Christensen, were guest speakers at a building fund banquet held at the Nephi Fourth Ward on Wednesday evening last week. The banquet was attended by a large group, including members of the Kiwanis Club of Nephi who attended with their partners as a part of their annual project of support of churches. Hie evening also was highlighted by a program of music and readings presented by the program department of the Brigham Young University with Kent Jones as master of ceremonies. Bishop Ralph E.
